Signatures and approval per folder
Two switches on any folder, both off by default. Signatures at take or handover; approval before borrowers take things.
Ask for a signature
Edit a folder and switch on Ask for a signature. Whoever takes something from that folder, or is handed it, signs on screen. Signatures are asked for when things go out, not when they come back. You’ll find them on the item’s Custody sheet.
Need approval to borrow
Switch on Needs approval to borrow and borrowers ask first: their scan shows Ask to borrow, and an editor approves on Today. Editors still hand things over as usual.
Where the settings apply
Both switches apply to the folder and every folder inside it. Use them where it matters (the camera cage, the laptop pool) and keep quick loans elsewhere quick.
