When a sheet is enough, and when it isn't
A good sheet runs a small store room for years. It starts to fail at the same moments for everyone: when more than one person updates it, when things move between rooms and vans every day, and when you need to know who has something right now rather than who signed for it last month.
That's what ItemTally is for: one shared register for stock and equipment, scanned with the phone you have. Every template here uses the same column names as the importer, so nothing you write down now is wasted. How switching works.
About the templates
Are the templates really free?
Yes. No sign-up, no email, no watermark. Download them, change them and share them with your team.
Do they work in Google Sheets?
Yes. Upload the Excel file to Google Drive and open it with Google Sheets, or import the CSV with File, Import. Drop-downs and the amber highlighting come with the Excel file.
Why do some templates have two files?
Lending templates come with a log (who has what) and an equipment list (what you own). The list is the part that moves into software later; the log is history.
What does "imports into ItemTally" mean?
The column names match ItemTally's importer, so uploading the file needs no mapping. If you import the same file again later, existing items are updated, not duplicated.
Can I print them?
Every template page has a print preview for A4 or Letter. Your browser's print dialog can also save it as a PDF.
