Live demo - not a video, not a screenshot
Know what you have.
ItemTally is scan-first inventory for small businesses - stock counts and serialized gear in one app. What’s playing below is the actual product: a phone counting stock with no connection, and the register catching up the moment it’s back.

That scan happened offline. The phone app keeps scanning, counting and photographing with no signal - in the basement, in the van, at the venue - and syncs by itself when it’s back. Nothing to remember, nothing lost.
The actual product
This is the register.
Real screenshots, current build - the same workspace the demo above syncs into. Folders are places (vans included), every number links to the movement that made it, and the whole thing works from a phone.
The Logbook writes itself
Who took it, when it's due, who signed. Every move is a line in an append-only ledger - a record, not a memory.
One page each morning
Low stock, overdue returns, expiry and warranty dates - cleared with one tap each. Not forty notifications.
Kits load the van
Bundle what always travels together and check the whole thing out in one move - every item still gets its own ledger line.
Counts that survive the shelf
Freeze a sheet, walk the shelves - phone in hand, offline is fine - review the variances, post. The ledger stays honest.
In your pocket
The whole register, one thumb.
Scan is one tap from anywhere - the camera is the point on a phone. Cards you can read at arm's length, steppers you can hit with gloves on, and everything works with no signal.
- Offline on every plan, including free
- Scan a code, land on the item
- Count a van in the yard in two minutes
Ask your register
Your assistant can read it. And, carefully, write it.
Connect Claude or ChatGPT over MCP with an API key - or press ⌘K in the app - and ask in plain words. Reads are free on every plan. Writes preview first and only run after a human says yes. The ledger is never auto-written.
What's running low in Van 1?
Cable ties 300 mm - 4 on hand, minimum 5. Everything else in Van 1 is above its minimum. Want me to draft a +20 restock? I'll show it before anything is written.

The honest comparison
Your spreadsheet can’t do this.
A spreadsheet can hold a number. It can’t scan a barcode in a basement, collect a signature, or tell you who has the camera. The page you’re reading just did all three - and about 43% of small businesses still run inventory on that spreadsheet. Moving off it costs €0, one CSV import, and an afternoon.
The missing features are load-bearing
Every one of those is a doorway to complexity - the thing per-item pricing pays for. We keep them out so the price stays flat and the app stays fast. This list will not shrink.
Pricing
Three rooms. Flat prices. Nothing counts your items.
You pay only for writers - the people who can edit - never for items, viewers, or the API. Grow from 200 items to 20,000 and the bill doesn’t move.

The no-ambush pledge
Three promises. In writing.
- Items are never metered. Ten things or ten thousand - the price is the same.
- Your price never rises on you. The rate you join at is yours for as long as you stay.
- Your data is never hostage. Free CSV export on every plan - including the day you leave.
You just watched the whole pitch.
Scan, count, sync, done - that’s the product. Import your spreadsheet and know what you have by the end of the afternoon.
Free plan, not a free trial. One person, unlimited items, forever.
