Room keys, booking requests, and the door that leaves open

  • New Room keys: scope a member to their folders - a teacher to their classroom, a crew lead to their van. Their register, counts, Today and phone all end there. The roles stay flat; it's a key beside the seat, not a new kind of seat.
  • New Booking requests: a share link can now say "request this". An outsider - the drama club, the next department - asks for an item and a window; it lands on your Today, and one tap turns it into a real hold or declines it. You confirm every time.
  • New The year-end pack: one click, one ZIP for the accountant and the insurer - the inventory report PDF, the full data takeout, and the year's burn report, together. The January-2nd file.
  • New Leave with everything: close your workspace yourself - take the full takeout out first, then it deletes after a 30-day grace period you can cancel in. Your data leaves whenever you do.
  • New The register's diary: a quiet, append-only log of who archived, merged, restored, set a PIN, cut a key or exported - the admin's trust surface, for admins only.
  • Better Ask can act now: say "give Jonas 5 boxes of screws" in the app and it proposes the change on a confirm card - nothing happens until you press the button.
  • Better The kit return check: returning a kit walks the members and asks what came back broken, flagging each in one batch. And a sanding pass - the phone lists an item's papers, the kiosk honors a scan gun's Enter, the composer shows free amounts while you reserve, and more.

Promises become hand-overs, stocktakes stop breeding twins

  • New "Hand over now": today's reservation becomes the real check-out in one tap - the ledger line posts and the pencil line retires together. And a manual hand-over quietly fulfils the person's own booking, so the Schedule never shows ghost promises.
  • New Re-import without fear: tick "update matching items" and your count or supplier file updates what it recognises - by code, serial, or exact name - instead of creating duplicates. Quantity changes post to the ledger as a proper stocktake; the preview tells you create-vs-update counts first.
  • New Snap the receipt at the counter: the phone can attach paper - receipts, certificates - straight to an item, offline, queued like photos. The paper trail starts where the paper is.
  • Better Availability answers with numbers now: "100 · 60 free" on the items list and through your connected assistant - so "can I get 40 chairs Tuesday?" gets an answer you can promise.
  • Better Label day: one click prints every shelf label in the register as a single sheet run. Tape, done.

Hold 40 chairs, see the burn, and tape the kiosk to the door

  • New Reserve by amount: "hold 40 chairs for Saturday" now works the way you'd hope - overlapping holds are summed against what's on hand, and a refusal tells you what's actually free. Built for venues, schools, theatres - anyone who books by the armful.
  • New The burn report: what you used up and what it cost, biggest burn first - at today's prices, with that caveat printed right on the report. The question every budget owner asks, finally answered by the ledger.
  • New The kiosk poster: one click prints an A4 for the door - a big QR and three instructions. Scan with any phone, pick your name, done. No app, no login, no tablet required.
  • Better "Anything wrong with it?" now travels with you: the phone's check-in can flag a problem offline, and it lands on Today like every other flagged return.
  • Better Small stitches: Schedule, Stock and the Archive joined the command menu, and the kiosk politely forgets who you are after a quiet minute - the next person starts fresh.

PINs at the kiosk, kits in the van, and a register that remembers what broke

  • New Kiosk PINs: give a name a short PIN and the shared tablet asks for it before anyone acts on that name. Accountability for the crib, the gear cage, the prep room - still no logins.
  • New Kits on the phone: hand the site box or the camera bag to someone from the van - one tap, every member queued through the same offline outbox as single items. Return custody just as fast.
  • New "Anything wrong with it?" - returns can now carry a problem. The ledger line keeps the mark forever, the custody sheet shows it, and a card stays on Today until someone deals with it.
  • New "Another like this": duplicate an item with everything prefilled - its own label, quantity zero until you count it. Registering a fleet stops feeling like data entry.
  • New The buyer's inbox: name whoever does the buying and the shopping list lands in their mail - one click from Stock, or every Monday when something's actually under minimum. A list, never a purchase order.

Closing the loop: reminders that reach the right person, and everything leaves with you

  • New Due-back reminders now reach the person who actually has the thing: one friendly note - push or mail - a couple of days before it's due. One note per hand-over, nothing to unsubscribe from.
  • New Reserve a whole kit in one go: one window, one person, one honest answer. If the gimbal is already promised to Maria on Tuesday, the kit says so - by name - and nothing half-happens.
  • New "What's free next Tuesday?" - an availability filter on the items list, and the same question answerable by your connected assistant. Same rule the reserve button uses, so what it shows can actually be promised.
  • New The kiosk grew a tray: pile up five things, tap once - "Take all as Jonas." One confirmation, one ledger batch; if anything conflicts, nothing half-happens.
  • New The full takeout: one ZIP with everything - items, the archived half, the whole movement ledger, people, folders, reservations, kits. Plain CSVs, the format that outlives every tool. Ours included.

The inventory report, count rituals, and a register that taps you on the shoulder

  • New The inventory report: one click, one clean PDF - every item with its photo, serial and value, subtotals per folder, a grand total. The document your insurer or accountant actually asks for, fresh from the register.
  • New Count rituals: give a folder a cadence and the register keeps the appointment - "time to count the crib" lands as a push (and in Slack, if connected) when the cadence lapses. Once per lapse, never a drumbeat; posting a count resets it.
  • New Watch an item: tap the bell on something that's out or empty, and you - just you - get one note the moment it's back. Then it goes quiet.
  • New The Schedule, now in your pocket: the next two weeks of reservations and due-backs on the phone, overdue on top - and Reserve straight from the item, no date-picker ceremony.
  • Better Today now spots people entered twice - "Jonas Lindqvist appears 2x in People" - and points at the merge. Exact matches only; it never guesses.

The paper trail: documents, shelf labels, instant alerts and the custody sheet

  • New Documents on items: the receipt, the manual, the warranty paper, the calibration certificate - attached to the item they prove. Private to your workspace, never on a public link, same fair-use storage as photos.
  • New Shelf labels: print a label for a folder - a shelf, a bin, a van - and scanning it opens that folder. Label the crib once, and every scan starts in the right place.
  • New Instant alerts, if you want them: a push the minute something crosses below its minimum or a due-back passes - once per episode, not a drumbeat. Slack and webhooks can subscribe to the same signals. The Monday digest stays the calm summary.
  • New The custody sheet: one item's whole hand-over story - who took it, who brought it back, who signed - as a clean printable page. For the day something comes back broken.
  • Better The Archive now covers everything: folders, tags and people join items - each with a Restore button, and merge notes that say where history went. Nothing is ever deleted; now all of it is browsable.

Kiosk mode, a browsable archive, and labels that find their way home

  • New Kiosk mode: open one link on a shared tablet in the tool crib, gear cage or lab - anyone picks their name, takes or returns, and it lands in the ledger on their name. No per-person logins, no extra seats.
  • New The Archive: nothing is ever deleted, and now you can see it. Everything archived - by hand, in bulk, or by a merge - sits in one browsable page with the note that says why, and a one-click Restore.
  • New Lost & found: opt in, and a stranger who scans one of your labels sees "This belongs to your workspace" plus a message you wrote - instead of a login wall. They see your name and your message, never the item.
  • New Merge duplicate people: "Jonas L." and "Jonas Lindqvist" become one - custody, history and reservations follow, nothing is deleted. The same cure duplicates got last week, now for people.
  • Better The Monday digest learns names: every member can switch their own mail or push off in Settings, and admins manage who gets it. Useful for the first member shouldn't mean spam for the second.

The Schedule, counts that finish on the phone, and a cure for duplicates

  • New The Schedule: fourteen days of reservations and due-backs on one page - who has what, what's promised out tomorrow, overdue pinned on top. Plain rows from your register; no calendar app required.
  • New Finish the count where you counted: the phone's count walk now ends in a review screen - expected vs counted, one-tap accept per line, post from the shelf. No desk step.
  • New Merge duplicates: when the same thing was entered twice, Today points it out - and Merge on the item folds history, codes, tags and quantity into one row. Nothing is deleted; old labels still scan.
  • New A monthly proof your data is yours: on the 1st, every register gets an automatic CSV snapshot in Exports. Your data leaves whenever you do - now we prove it monthly.
  • Better The Monday digest is learning to reach your pocket: push delivery is wired server-side and lands in the app in an upcoming release.

The load sheet goes everywhere: chat links, photos, and your assistant

  • New Share the load sheet: one click mints a read-only link for the crew chat - what each van, cart or cabinet needs right now, live on every open, valid 30 days. Counts and names, never prices.
  • New Ask your register the morning question: “what does Van 1 need?” now works in the ⌘K omnibox and over MCP for connected assistants - load lists and the reorder sheet, straight from the ledger.
  • New Give out consumables from the phone, offline: “Give 5 boxes to Jonas” is a person, a number, done - an attributed stock-out that posts on the next sync.
  • Better Load lists got photos - on the web, the printed sheet, the shared link and the phone. Crews recognise things by sight.
  • Better The getting-started checklist now walks you to the stock board - a van, a cart, a cabinet; whatever your work drives around or wheels down a corridor.

Hand-overs go offline, and the ledger learns to forgive

  • New Hand the drill to Jonas at the site, no signal: check-outs and check-ins now work fully offline on the phone - pick a person, tap a due date, done. It queues like everything else and posts to the ledger on the next sync.
  • New My stuff, on the phone: everything on your name, due dates first, overdue in amber - and a one-tap Return that works in a basement.
  • New Undo, honestly: recording a load now offers Undo right in the toast, and quantity lines in the Logbook can be reversed. Nothing is ever deleted - a reversal is its own ledger line that says what it reverses.
  • New “Worth a look this week”: one quiet card on Today with plain arithmetic from your ledger - usage that doubled, stock untouched 90+ days and what it's worth, minimums that look high or low against real use. Observations only; nothing changes until you do.
  • Better Print sheets: the load lists and reorder sheet print as clean pages with a dated header - for the clipboard taped to the dashboard.

The load loop: from “you're low” to “loaded, recorded”

  • New Record the load: the stock board's load list now has a button. Pick where the stock comes from, confirm the quantities, and one tap posts the whole load to the ledger - “moved 6 × cable ties, Warehouse → Van 1”, every line balanced, nothing typed twice.
  • New The reorder sheet: everything below minimum across every van, site and shelf, grouped into one shopping list with per-location amounts - and a CSV for whoever does the buying. No purchase orders, on purpose.
  • New Suggested minimums, honestly: items you use but never set levels for now show “suggest 7–14” - two to four weeks of cover at your actual usage rate, arithmetic you can check against the ledger. Tap to fill, save to accept. Nothing is ever written for you.
  • New Load lists on the phone, offline: Menu → Load lists shows what each van needs to get back to PAR, computed on the device - in a basement garage, before coffee.
  • Better The Monday digest is now the morning's work order: each under-PAR location gets its load list line by line, so the mail is the loading sheet.

PAR levels, real locations, and edit-in-place

  • New Items now carry a min AND a max: below min raises the alert, max is what you restock to. “4 on hand, minimum 5, load 4” - the register finally says how many to put back, not just that you're low.
  • New The Stock board: every product lined up across your vans, site containers and any folder you put on it - one PAR band per product per location, “3 rolls minimum in every van” in one click, and a load list per location telling the crew exactly what to grab.
  • New Folders are real places now: mark one as a vehicle or a site, write down where it is (an address, a bay, a number plate), and set how often it should be counted - the van weekly, the warehouse quarterly. Count reminders follow each folder's own rhythm.
  • New The Monday digest names the location: “Van 1 is under PAR: cable ties (1/3, load 4).” Which van, what's missing, how many to load - before the crew rolls.
  • Better Edit things where you see them: a pencil on every item row and a gear on every folder opens the editor right there - no more navigating away to change a minimum or rename a van.
  • Better CSV import and export carry the max level too, and Sortly's “Max level” column maps automatically. Count reminders now notice stock kept in a folder's subfolders.

The web app went phone-first

  • New On a phone, the web app is now a real field tool: a bottom bar with Today, Items, Logbook and a big Scan button in the middle - one tap from anywhere to the camera. The item list becomes cards you can actually read on a 6-inch screen.
  • New A getting-started checklist on the dashboard walks new workspaces through the first five jobs - add an item, make a folder, add a crew member, hand something over, set an alert. It checks itself off from real data and gets out of the way.
  • New Archiving an item now offers Undo, right in the toast - singles and bulk. Your movement history was never touched either way.
  • Better Keyboard people: press / to search, n for a new item, ? to see every shortcut.

Ask your register, and it answers

  • New Ask ItemTally: press ⌘K and ask in plain words - “what’s low in Van 1?”, “what does Sam have out?” - and the register answers from the ledger. Read-only, and it shows its working.
  • New Photograph a receipt and every line becomes a draft item - you check each one, pick a folder, and only then is anything written. Faster typing, not automatic stock.
  • New Assistants connected over MCP can now act, carefully: adjust stock, check out, check in. Every action previews first and only runs after you say yes, on a write-scoped key.
  • New Custody-by-person, stale stock and days-of-stock-left can be saved and mailed to you every Monday, like the other reports.
  • Better Kits can be edited after creation, checkouts of a kit take a due date, and van folders now show as vans on the phone too.

Launch week: the switch, the scan, and the crew

  • New Switching from Sortly or BoxHero is now a guided import - mappings preset, photos fetched, and a dry-run preview before anything is written.
  • New Fast Capture: photograph a label or a shelf and the item form prefills - name, serial, quantity. You confirm; the ledger is never auto-written.
  • New Kits and trucks: bundle what always travels together, flag folders as vehicles, and audit a van in the yard in two minutes.
  • New Possession checks: send a crew member a link, they confirm “yes, I still have these” from their phone - or dispute, which flags it for you.
  • New Three register questions became reports: who has what, what hasn’t moved in 90 days, and how many days of stock are left at the current rate.
  • New A first-party MCP server: connect Claude or ChatGPT to your register with an API key and ask it questions. Plus native Slack notifications.
  • Better Custom fields now filter everywhere, saved views can be shared with the whole workspace, and the Monday mails respect your workspace timezone.

Scan straight into a folder

  • New Open a folder, hit scan, and every code you scan drops into that folder - no scanning first and sorting later. Works fully offline; it syncs when you’re back on signal.
  • Better The scanner holds focus after a successful scan, so you can rattle through a whole shelf without tapping between each one.

Due dates that actually nudge

  • New When you check something out to a person, you can set a due date. Overdue items turn amber on the register and on the item’s page.
  • Fixed Checking an item back in no longer left a stray custody row on the timeline. The ledger reads clean now.

Faster search, and a quieter empty state

  • Better Item search is roughly 3× faster on large registers - we were re-fetching the folder tree on every keystroke. We stopped doing that.
  • Fixed Archived items were sneaking into low-stock counts. They don’t anymore.
  • Fixed Fixed a sign-in loop on iOS when the app had been backgrounded for several days.
