What works in the browser today.
The web app was built phone first, with a Scan button in the middle of the bottom bar.

The native iPhone and Android apps are built and in testing. They open the same register as the web, and they’re where offline scanning will come from. Until they’re released, nothing on this site links to a store.

Questions people ask
When do the apps launch?
The iPhone and Android apps are built and in testing. They aren't on the App Store or Google Play yet, and we'll say so on the changelog the day they are. Everything works in the phone's browser in the meantime.
Does it work with no signal?
Not in the browser: scanning and counting there need a connection. Offline scanning comes with the native apps, which are in testing and not released.
Do I need an app to scan?
No. Open ItemTally in the phone's browser, tap Scan and allow the camera. Pointing the phone's own camera at a label opens the scanner on that item too.
Will the apps cost extra?
No. Same account, same plan, same register. The apps will be part of every plan, including the free one.
Which phones work?
Any recent iPhone or Android with a camera and an up-to-date browser, including the shared phone that lives in the storeroom.
