How do gear returns and late rentals work?
Every checkout carries a due date; overdue gear turns amber on the register and on the Today page, and a nudge is one tap. Reservations have conflict detection, so two shoots can't be promised the same camera body for the same weekend.
Can a client or freelancer sign for gear?
Yes - a thumb signature on the phone at handover, stored on the movement. People don't need accounts: anyone can hold gear, and possession checks let them confirm 'I still have these' from a link.
We track bodies and lenses by serial. Does that fit?
That's the native shape: unique items with serials, each with its own QR identity, custody history and current holder. Consumables - tape, batteries, bulbs - live in the same register as quantity stock with minimums.
